Jesus was a master storyteller. Jesus often used images from everyday life to stir up interest in his message about the Kingdom of God. Jesus rarely answered a question with a simple, factual response – usually he responded with more questions and ultimately told a story. And in doing so, Jesus was requiring that his disciples and the crowds do more than listen; he was asking them to think and to wrestle as well. The Jesus stories challenge us to look into the hidden aspects of our own values, our own lives. His stories bring to the surface unasked questions, and they reveal the answers we may have always known, but refuse to acknowledge.
Join us for this series beginning July, 2015, as we investigate how we can see ourselves in the stories told by the Master storyteller.
