North Park was planted by the Mennonite Brethren church in the early 1960’s, meeting at Northwest Christian College’s chapel. Within a few years time, this small group was led to purchase a piece of property on the corner of Harlow Road and Honeysuckle to build a permanent home for their new church.
It was at this point that this small church adopted the name “North Park”. At the time, there was a planned neighborhood development that carried the same name, and so in an effort to identify with their surrounding community, North Park was chosen.
In the years since, there have been numerous changes within and around North Park, and though the development never took place, that same singular desire to connect with our surrounding neighbors still remains.
Like our founders, our vision is to remain rooted in the Bible, intimately connected to Jesus Christ and personally active in serving our community!
