This series is looking at the Book of Lamentations – a series of laments, or what could be considered funeral poems. In a time when Israel felt desolate, these laments document their crying out to God.
In this message, Aaron asks us, “If things are so bad, why keep writing?”. The answer is because there is a hope and trust for something more and a better future with God. Our laments can help us make the transition from asking God to give us our wishes to a desire to see God continually mold and change us to be more like Him.
